YAGEO provides complete circuit protection solutions, including overvoltage protection components TVS, MOV, GDT, SPG, ESD, TSS, overcurrent protection components PPTC and NTC. TVS, MOV and ESD products have precise voltage clamping capabilities. They can limit the voltage to an allowable level, preventing circuit damage by drawing large amounts of current to ground. GDT, SPG and TSS products act as circuit switches that can be turned on to direct abnormal currents to ground. PPTC and NTC are similar to resistors, and their resistance can be changed with temperature to protect the circuit. Metal oxide varistors (MOVs) respond quickly to overvoltage peaks and have good surge energy absorption capabilities. It is usually used for transient overload protection at the input of AC power lines.

resettable fuse

PPTC (Polymerized Positive Temperature Coefficient Thermistor) is also known as a resettable fuse. Its resistance is extremely low under normal working conditions and has no effect on the working circuit. The response speed of PPTC varies from tens of milliseconds to several seconds, proportional to the current value. According to different application requirements, YAGEO provides PPTC in SMD (package size: 0603 ~ 2920) and DIP package types.
